On Friday 26 June 2009 Sir Peter visited Bay House School where he met with the 6th Form and held a Question & Answer Session. The photograph shows Peter with the group.

On the afternoon of 8 May 09 Peter visited Brockhurst Infant School. The picture shows Peter meeting the school council for an open air Question & Answer session.

On 8 May 09 Peter visited the Wildgrounds to be briefed on the area and its wildlife. The picture shows Peter being briefed by one of the volunteer wardens (left)whilst Glen Wilkinson, Head of Leisure Gosport Borough Council (right) looks on.

On 8 May 09 Peter visited Gosport Borough Council's Nursery to meet the staff and view the facilities. The picture shows Peter with Steve Rickets, Head of Street Scene, Gosport Borough Council.

On 24 April 09 Sir Peter spent some time with the Hampshire Police Marine Unit which included some time patroling the coast line of the Gosport Constituency. The picture shows Peter with Sergeant Simpson (left) and two of his crew.

On 6 March 2009 Peter was invited by Morrison the supermarket chain to present gardening items, including equipment to Leesland Junior School.     Children, Parents and Staff had taken part in a scheme where vouchers were collected and exchanged for the gardening items.     In the picture Peter is with the children of Leesland Junior School following the presentation.

Following the visit to Lee on Solent Infant School on 6 March 09 Peter visited Stubblee Hill Children's Centre, a recently opened Sure Start Centre located in the grounds of the Infants School.      Peter is pictured with some of the Child Carers and children who attend the centre.

Peter visited Lee on the Solent Infant School on Friday 6 March 09.    The photo shows him being greeted by Headteacher Rosemary Corner.    Peter attended school assembly before undertaking a guided tour led by two of the pupils.    He met many of the staff and pupils and viewed the facilities.

On 6 March 09, Peter visited Northrop Grumman a global defence and technology company based at Solent Business Park, Fareham.   He made the visit jointly with Fareham MP Mark Hoben.    They were briefed on the work of the company in the United Kingdom.    In the picture Peter is being greeted on arrival by Paul Davison, Managing Director and Vice-President for Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems Europe Sector.

On 27 February 09 Peter visited Gomer Junior School. Here he is pictured with the School Council.

In the afternoon of Friday 27 February 2009 Peter visited Langdale Care Home, Winners of Gosport's Customer Service Excellence Award 2008.    Peter viewed the facilities and then met many of the residents and staff over tea.    He is pictured with two of Langdale's partners who met him on arrival; Bethney Kelly and Rebecca McBride.

Sir Peter met with Professor David Rhind CBE on Friday 6 February 2009. Professor Rhind is the newly appointed Chair of Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust and he was able to hear first hand about the concerns Gosport constituents have in relation to Haslar closing and the hospital services being transferred to Gosport War Memorial Hospital and QA Hospital at Cosham.

On Friday 6 February 2009 Sir Peter visited Qinetiq at Haslar to receive an update on the company. Peter is pictured with Neville Salkeld - Managing Director of Consulting (to Sir Peter's left) and William Tew Public Affairs Manager. To Peter's right is Iain Kennedy, Head of Maritime Platform Solutions.

On 30 January 09 Peter visited the Institute of Naval Medicine. In the picture he is talking the Head of Environmental Medicine Unit in the The Cold Water Immersion Facility with the Medical Officer in Charge, Surgeon Captain David Brown Royal Navy, QHP looking on.

On Friday 30 January 09 Peter visited Lee on Solent Junior School. In the picture he is seen being greeted by the Headteacher Mrs M Charlton.

Also on 21 January Peter visited the offices of the Echo Newspaper at Southampton. In the picture Sir Peter is talking to one of the journalists while the Editor of the Echo, Ian Murray looks on.
