Peter Viggers, MP for the Gosport
constituency, will on Friday help to raise awareness of
Volunteer Week by visiting
the PDSA shop in Gosport’s High Street.
Peter will be at the store to meet
management and volunteers at 10.30am on Friday 6 June as
part of Volunteer Week’s
MP Challenge.
PDSA has over 160 shops nationwide,
and the Gosport shop will be celebrating its 6th anniversary
in July. Both the
Manager and Assistant manager have been there from the start
and are assisted by a very supportive team of 14 volunteers.
Despite a lot of competition in the local area, the shop
is very successful, and money raised helps to fund the provision
of the PDSA’s veterinary services for people who are
unable to afford private fees for the treatment of their
pets. |
