Peter Viggers, MP for the Gosport constituency, has added
his support to the carers in the community in recognition
of Carers Week 2003.
He
said, “I know from constituency experience that
society simply cannot cope without the large number of
people who willingly give up their time to care for others
and to
support voluntary organisations.
“ In
many cases individuals sacrifice their free time to care
for those who are housebound. In other cases individuals
care for relatives or other loved ones by putting the
needs of others before their own interests.
“
Carers Week reminds us all of the sacrifice and devotion
of others, and we pay tribute to them during this week dedicated
to their service”. |
