Peter
Viggers, Conservative MP for Gosport, has been elected Vice
Chairman of the House of Commons Defence Committee. The Vice
Chairman is the senior opposition Member and takes the Chair
of the Defence Committee in the absence of the Chairman,
the Rt Hon Bruce George, MP.
This week Peter Viggers has been a UK delegate to a NATO
seminar at the United States National Defence University
in Washington DC. The seminar has been addressing the issues
of security in Iraq and Afghanistan and future co-operation
over terrorism and crisis management.

Viggers will be returning to the UK overnight on Tuesday,
9th December for meetings in the House of Commons
on Wednesday, 10th December. |
