Peter
Viggers, Conservative Member of Parliament for Gosport and
Chairman of the Haslar Task Force, today praised the way
in which the Primary Care Trusts in the area had advertised
the 24 hour opening of the Haslar Accident Treatment Centre.
The Treatment Centre is now open for 24 hours a day for a
trial period of three months from 1st July.
Peter Viggers said today:
“ It is important that all those involved in medical care and
emergency cover should understand that the Treatment Centre
is now open for 24 hours a day. The leading local consultant
in emergency medicine has said that the Centre could deal
with more patients if necessary. If the Centre is now able
to demonstrate its value to local medical services, this
will increase the chance of it being available permanently
on a 24 hour basis.” |
