Peter
Viggers, MP for the Gosport constituency, has urged residents
of Gosport and Fareham to give their comments on future healthcare
for the area to the local Primary Care Trust.
A booklet containing information on the options is being
delivered to local households, and the Primary Care Trust
is also holding a series of public meetings at which detailed
explanation of each of the proposals for healthcare will
be given.
Peter said, “There
are a number of ways that people can give their views on
the proposals, and it is vital that
as many people as possible take a few minutes to register
their views.
“I
would urge people to consider the proposals carefully and
give
their comments, either by filling in the form at
the back of the PCT booklet; by emailing their views to the
PCT, or by attending one of the public meetings, the dates
of which are:
- Monday
27th September 2004 9.30 to 11.30am Fernham Hall, Fareham
- Monday
27th September 2004 7.00 to 9.00pm Thorngate Halls, Gosport
- Monday
4th October 2004 9.30 to 11.30am Thorngate Halls, Gosport
- Monday
4th October 2004 7.00 to 9.00pm Fernham Hall, Fareham
“The
PCT has promised that the results of the consultation will
help to influence the decision on how to proceed with
healthcare planning. We must ensure that
all our voices are heard.” |
