Peter
Viggers MP has said that the Treasury Committee will this
week consider further aspects of the 2005 Pre-Budget Report.
Peter
is a member of the Treasury Select Committee, the role
of which is to examine the expenditure, administration
and policy of HM Treasury, the Board of the Inland Revenue,
the Board of HM Customs and Excise, and associated public
bodies, including the Bank of England and the Financial
Services Authority.
He
said today, “We will be seeking to amend the Chairman’s
draft so it reflects the nature of discussions with the
Treasury and the Bank of England.”
