In the House of Commons yesterday Peter Viggers called for the flying ban imposed by Hampshire Constabulary on general aviation at Daedalus to be postponed. The Minister in reply said that this was not a matter for government but for the Hampshire Police
To-day, after refusing point blank to allow flying to continue the police have now announced that they will extend their deadline to 14 December 07. Peter Viggers said to-day; “this is exactly what I asked for. Now all the parties can get round the table and try to find a long term solution”.
