The Rt. Hon. James Arbuthnot, Member of Parliament for North East Hampshire, will be the guest speaker at the Annual Dinner of Gosport Conservative Association on Friday, 23 November.
Peter Viggers, Member of Parliament for Gosport, invited him to visit Haslar Hospital whilst in the area and James Arbuthnot has agreed to make this visit and has authorised the following Press Release:
“I am very much looking forward to coming to the Gosport Conservatives’ Annual Dinner on Friday 23rd November. My good and long-standing friend Peter Viggers has asked me to take the opportunity to pay a short visit to the Haslar Hospital. Although the Defence Select Committee (which I chair) will not itself be visiting the hospital, because we do not wish to create false expectations about its future, I would be happy, as a mark of respect towards the admirable men and women who serve there and who are treated there, and also as a mark of the respect in which I hold Peter, to accept his invitation. I look forward to the visit.”
This will be an informal visit and we will not be making any further Press comment.
